Activity 5.1: The Johnson Case

Your pre-service training is nearly complete! In this last chapter you will now have the chance to use all of the information, skills and knowledge you have gained throughout the volunteer training program to complete an online case study.

Part 1: Read through the Initial Case Notes for the Johnson Family:

**I was just reading through the initial notes on the first page in the Current Situation it says that they identified the child as Sam Johnson but it was actually Caleb who was found wandering around.**

Pretend that it is 2016 again. You are appointed as the CASA on August 19th. The Adjudicatory Hearing is scheduled for September 20th.

During the in-person session, current volunteers will be available to speak to your class. To prepare, please review the topics below and post questions in the discussion below.
